Bulk user import allows you to quickly and easily add a large number of users at once using a .csv file.
For a successful import, you need a properly structured .csv spreadsheet. You can download a sample file from the main menu in the admin dashboard by clicking Users > Import users > Sample file.
The file that opens in a new window is view-only. Therefore, you first need to save it as an .xlsx document that you can edit in Excel or Google Sheets. Once you have your own copy saved, you can fill in the sample file with your data.
The first row of the file contains the column headers – Name, Lastname, etc. These headers define which data belongs in each column.
If a user needs access to more courses than the file initially allows (the template supports up to 5 courses by default), you can add new columns. In the first row, add a new column header in the format Course number – ID, continuing the numbering sequentially (6, 7, 8, …). Add as many columns as you need.
The Course ID is a unique identifier automatically assigned to a course when you create it in the Audienced admin panel. You can find the course ID under Digital products → ID.
You grant a user access to a product by entering the course ID number in the appropriate Course ID column.
Once you’ve entered all the data and the file is ready for import into Audienced, you need to save it as a .csv file.
Upload the bulk user import file under Users > Import users > Upload CSV.
A table with users will appear, allowing you to verify the data. Click IMPORT to proceed, or BACK if the data is incorrect.
To confirm the bulk import, type IMPORT USERS into the confirmation field and click Yes, import!.
